Job Description:
KEY ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in all project and production support services related to Manugistics to allow Client to receive optimal benefit from its technology investments.
- Participate in the 24x7 on-call application support rotation.
- Offer ad-hoc data analysis and support to business functions; Deliver end-user training for Manugistics; and ensure the application is functioning correctly, managing issue resolution and change requests.
- Work closely with peers to understand how changes to Demand Planning impact the Supply Planning processes.
- Perform and document analysis of business and user requirements.
- Evaluate business and user requirements and propose solutions.
- Generate and code technical specifications.
- Design and code system interfaces using FTP concepts.
- Demonstrate ability to adhere to formal software development lifecycle methodologies while working within a formal change management environment including performing unit and system integration testing adhering to internal policies and procedures.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
- Work collaboratively with Client peers within the applications, infrastructure, network, and security areas to deliver best in class service to the Client standard supply chain planning organizations.
- Willing to work off-hours as necessary.
- Work globally across multiple regions/sites/time zones.
- Travel as necessary both domestically and internationally.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
- Develop and sustain strong professional relationships with the Planners in all regions.
- Develop and sustain strong professional relationships with the rest of the Manugistics and Global Data Collection support teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to balance competing priorities amongst projects and to adapt well to changing business needs.
- Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve results by influencing others in a positive and effective manner.
EXPERIENCE:
- S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience in lieu of formal education.
- Structured System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
- 5+ years’ experience working with the Manugistics/JDA/Blue Yonder Planning application suite of products including Demand Planning, Demand Classification, Collaborate, Master Planning/ESP, and Fulfillment.
- Knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, SQL Developer utility.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, SQL Developer utility, and Linux including OS commands, Shell Scripting, VI editor.
- Familiar with FTP concepts and system interface design.
- IBM iSeries (AS/400) experience a plus.
- Vision Care, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device experience preferred.
